Rolling Cutter Drill Bits for Oil and Gas industry
The VBM-group produces more than 800 designs of roller cone drill bits for the oil and gas industry ranging from 3” to 26” in diameter.
Drill bits of every diameter may be produced with varying types of cutting structure for the drilling of soft to very hard abrasive rock.
Depending on the drilling method, roller cone drill bits are produced with different types of bearings, either open (A,V, N) or sealed (NU, VU, AU, AUP, AUL, AUM).
Roller cone drill bits have roller or friction radial bearings and thrust bearings.
Drill bits with sealed bearings have compensatory lubricating system for pressure equalization and lubricant consumption control.
Hydraulic system has side and/or central jets.
PDC Bits
The VBM-group has to date designed more than two hundred drill bits, due to the large number of drill bit dimension types (from 3” to 17 1/2") and varying rock classifications for drilling. The latter range through soft, soft with medium layers, medium, medium with interbedded hard layers.
Depending on application, PDC Bits may be any of the following:
- FD line – drill bits for full-diameter vertical and directed drilling;
- BD line – bi-centric bits;
- CB line – core heads.
Our high durability PDC Drill Bits, in contrast to roller cone bits, ensure a multiple increasing of the footage of deepening at a high ROP.
The VBM-group also produces stabilizers vertical and directional drilling.
Our specialists are constantly improving the PDC Bit design and technology.
Roller Cone Drill Bits for mining industry
The VBM-group develops and produces roller cone drill bits, from 3” to 15 ½” in diameter, for the mining industry to use in vertical and directed air drilling. Air circulation may be central, combined or reverse. Drill bit cutting structures are different depending on the type of rock drilled.
Milled tooth drill bits are designed for drilling soft to hard rock (IADC code from 112 to 332) and TCI drill bits are designed for drilling soft abrasive to hard rock (IADC code from 412 to 832).
