VOLGABURMASH Company became a standholder of the 2nd International Trade Show “Oil. Gas. Chemistry”, which was held in Samara, October, 15-17, 2008. As explained by the President of Russian Oil Producers Association, G.I. Shmal, “such meetings are already traditional for Samara, they give a unique opportunity of showing and discussing research results, technological, economical, organizational and other aspects of applying domestic and foreign high-end technologies in Russian oil and gas industry“.

Volgaburmash proved its status of industry’s most innovative company by placing at its stand the samples of new PDC and rock bit designs. The exhibits and the presentation interested many guests and participants, including the students of Samara State Technical University – the supplier of skilled personnel for oil and gas industry and the main university of such type in the region. The exhibition stand was visited by representatives of TNK-BP, Samaraneftegaz and other companies.

The day devoted to ROSING (Russian Oil and Gas Engineers Society) was marked by the round table discussion of “Engineering Products for Samara Regional Oil and Gas Companies”. Volgaburmash specialists made a report on “Advanced Technologies in Bit Manufacturing for Drilling in the Volga and the Urals District Applications”. New technologies of PDC and rock bit manufacturing for the abovementioned district were discussed and examples were provided illustrating successful joint work with local drillers.

At the end of the trade show Volgaburmash Company was awarded a Certificate for Design and Manufacturing of Quality Equipment for Oil and Gas Industry.
