Volgaburmash took part in the 24th SPE/IADC Drilling Conference and Exhibition
VOLGABURMASH, JSC took part in the 24th SPE/IADC Drilling Conference and Exhibition that was held at the RAI Congress centre in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on February 20-22, 2007.
The Conference addresses the theme “Reaching Out to Discover and Recover”. It was dedicated to the advanced technologies, up-to-date use of existing drilling and well completion technologies, new drilling rig designs, process and procedure modifications.
The Conference provided us the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge on the newest tools and technologies to drill faster and more efficiently.
“Around the world, drilling and completion specialists are being challenged to satisfy a continually growing demand for hydrocarbons. To replace current production with new reserves, we need smarter wells and responsible solutions. This year’s technical program addresses our ability to respond to these challenges with innovative well designs and improved operating practices”, said Sjoerd Brouwer, chairperson of the 2007 SPE/IADC Drilling Conference.
The conference received a record number of abstracts from which more than 100 technical papers have been selected covering topics such as:
- State-of-the-art drilling technologies
- Drilling optimization
- Geomechanics
- Deepwater drilling etc.
The Exhibition showcases more than 90 exhibitors offering the most advanced developments in drilling equipment and technology.
