The VBM-group (JSC) amalgamates five of the largest machine-building plants in Russia. The company was created in 2007 and comprises four large drill bit plants. These are: Volgaburmash (Samara), Uralburmash (Sverdlovskaya oblast, Verhniye Sergi), Sarapul machine-building plant (Sarapul, Udmurt Republic), Drogobytch drill bit plant (Drogobych, Ukraine) and Samara reservoir plant (Samara), a company manufacturing steel reservoirs, galvanized and colored steel and metal constructions.
However, the company’s core activity is the manufacture of drill bits for the oil and gas industry, as well as the mining and coal industries. Consolidation has made it possible to raise the competitiveness of our drill bit plants, increase our potential for innovation and expand the range of products.
With 80% of the Russian market, the VBM-group is a leader in the field in Russia and amongst the world’s top five drill bit manufacturers.
PRODUCTION
The VBM-group offers a wide range of drilling equipment:
- Steel body PDC Bits for vertical and directional drilling;
- Roller Cone Bits for drilling soft to very hard rocks under different conditions;
- Core Heads to core vertical and directional boreholes;
- Bicentric PDC Bits for vertical and directional drilling;
- Stabilizers for vertical and directional drilling.
